We worked on Blogger today and wow! They were great at this. This class seems to understand and do technology with ease. Our tech projects will be easier to manage and they will have more time for creativity! Awesome!

CU-CU plans are coming together

The plans to begin a ukulele group in the community are forming. Just need a place with parking, a schedule of rehearsals, and money for stands and tuners. I am having the participants buy their own books. It will happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So happy with my graduate classes

My Masters students are coming along so well. They are bright, enthusiastic, and insightful. Lucky me! Problem, though....I am so tired that in the evenings I have no energy for grading. Must...get...it...done.

Today, setting up a practice schedule!

At the James Hill Ukulele Initiative training this week, we were taught that we HAVE to increase our own playing skills in order to be effective int he classroom. No-brainer, eh? So, I am working on a time to carve out so that I get to it everyday and that is efficient and fun. I am thinking that lunchtime is the next protected time I can use. I already have the 5 am slot filled with exercising at the gym. We will see how that goes.

It would be too dramatic, but. . .

I had a life-changing event happen this week in Vancouver, BC. I learned about how to teach ukulele to kids of all ages through the James Hill Ukulele Initiative...and by the Master himself. Impressive man. Could grab the money and fame and run with it. Instead he looks behind and, with passion, invigorates generations behind him to evangelize this amazing instrument.
